The changing role of CPAs.

Are you aware that the role of a CPA in small business is changing?  With the trend of business owners and managers performing their own bookkeeping duties, at least to some degree, CPAs are making the shift from reactive analysis to active analysis. CPAs are taking a more active stance in their clients’ businesses and affairs, contributing to fiscal planning and analysis on a far greater scale than in the past.  No longer is a CPA simply an independent service provider; a CPA is an adviser and part of the managing team.
